About the Event

We host an Open Studio on the first Saturday of the month 1pm-3pm!  Our Open Studio days are created to make art materials and a creative makers space available to all in our community.  Join us for our First Saturday's Open Studio where you can check out our community art space and gallery and make some art!  All ages welcome!

Join us this month for Make a Heart, Share a Heart!

Come create hearts wrapped with fibers, fabric, feathers and care to adorn your walls, wear or share with someone you love. We will use a process and materials that encourage slowing down, building connections and repetition to calm our busy minds, hands and feet. Your one of a kind creation can serve as a wonderful reminder of care and warmth this season. This free workshop is part of Downtown Evantson's Hygge Fest and is open to makers of all ages.

First Saturday Open Studio is part of Evanston Made's "First Saturdays" city-wide initiative designed to bring attention to artists and art events in the community.  Artists and galleries throughout Evanston host exhibition openings, studio visits, artist talks, workshops and classes on the first Saturday of each month in order to increase arts engagement in Evanston.

Studio 3 is located at 617C Grove St in downtown Evanston. Our studio and gallery is entered through the alley just north of Grove in the alley that runs parallel to Sherman and Chicago Ave. You will know you found us when you see our sign and a black and white striped awning hanging above our door. We look forward to sharing and making art with you!

Our First Saturdays Open Studio is for all ages.  Suggested donation is $10 to help cover cost of materials and to support us in our mission to make this program available to all participants.  To make a donation click here.
