About the Event
You can make a lantern at the Lantern Festival! The festival starts at 7:30pm but we'll be making lanterns from 5:30-7pm.
The Evanston Community Lantern Festival is held in honor of ASPA Heritage Month and Memorial Day. The event is inspired by the lantern festivals and traditions found across Asia, South Asia and the Pacific Islands. This event offers community members a chance to come together with others to honor, remember, celebrate, and commemorate through a collective act of floating lanterns on the Lagoon.
