About the Event
Kids Create Change is partnering with the Evanston Public Library and the Smithsonian Institution to host a series of workshops as part of the “The Bias Inside Us” exhibit April 9 - May 8, 2022. This community engagement project from the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service (SITES) raises awareness about the social science and psychology of implicit bias, the impact of this bias and what people can do about it.
Workshops are free and open to all ages. Join us in a creative exploration of conscious and unconscious bias in ourselves and our community, and how we might take personal actions that lead to collective change. Participants will be able to add to a community tapestry and learn about community art and social justice.
