join us for Artful Adornments

Thank you to everyone who weathered the cold last weekend, and joined us for the second workshop in the Sacred Circle series: Art of Healing. We embroidered and created art inspired by Liz Marchi's practice of offering friend's and dear ones handmade pouches filled with symbols of encouragement and love. Thank you to Michaela for leading such a meaningful time of making together. The studio was warm with the energy of mutual care and creativity!

Please save your spot for Artful Adornments this Sunday, December 12th, 10:30-noon. We will be making art that we can wear inspired by the artistry and legacy of Liz Marchi, Michaela's late mother. Michaela shared, "My mother believed that art should be a part of our everyday life, including how we adorn ourselves. Not only did she create evening and everyday wearable items of clothing appliquéd with batik-dyed patches that were meticulously embroidered, she also extended her ideas to simple necklaces that could be worn anytime with anything!"

Let’s make some soft sculpture jewelry together. You can explore sew or no-sew options to create a unique piece of wearable art for yourself or as a gift for someone you love! Makers of all ages are welcome. All materials provided for creating your own wearable medallion and snacks too! This is a ticketed event and space is limited, please follow this link to register.

As an act of community care and responsibility, masks are required for all in-person events.
