We began making mini posters to capture what we know and are retaining from our conversations and experiential research on a variety of topics. Their homemade "spark charts" weave drawings and lists that fluctuate between theory, facts and humorous observations. This simple invitation to record their thoughts has resulted in further meaningful conversations that follow their curiosity and help us learn to ask more questions. Having a tangible, visual record of learning serves to reinforce the concepts explored and supports that they are capable of pursuing their own studies and communicating it with others. These infographics have been made by children between 5-10 years old, but makers of all ages can use this a way to gather and share what they know. If you feel inspired, please share your own spark chart or ideas with us.
